Andrew Macfarlane is Head of Circular Operations, at ACS Clothing Ltd. He has worked for ACS for almost 20 years. Andrew is a graduate in physics, from Strathclyde University. He has international expertise in textile care and was instrumental in ACS’s innovative sanitisation methodology, using sustainable Ozone gas. Andrew has lead the company to achieving a benchmark score for the Circulytics tool from the Ellen MacArthur Foundation. In addition Andrew has played a major role in achieving a just transition towards Net Zero, for ACS, through social impact projects with disability, refugee and economically deprived communities. Andrew is a champion of apprenticeships, employing nearly 20 modern apprenticeships each year and has recently developed a foundation apprenticeship for the textiles industry.
